Careers

Work With Us at Library Agents

We are a small team doing careful, honest work for writers. Open roles are listed below — if one fits, we would like to hear from you.

About Working Here

Library Agents is a research, preparation, and consulting service for authors. Our team verifies agent and publisher research, reviews manuscripts, coordinates submissions, and supports a large community of working writers — all to a standard our founder sets personally.

We hire people who care about doing the work properly: accurate research, honest feedback, and replies that arrive on time. If that sounds like you, one of the roles below may fit.

A note on what these roles are: Library Agents is not a literary agency, so these are not agent positions. You would be joining a service team that helps authors prepare and target their own submissions.

  • Flag outdated or incorrect listings and update our records with a source for every change.

What we're looking for

  • Strong attention to detail and careful sourcing habits
  • Comfortable reading industry guidelines and summarizing them accurately

  • Review query letters, synopses, and loglines against industry expectations.
  • Meet agreed review turnaround times so authors are never left waiting.

What we're looking for

  • Wide reading experience and the ability to give feedback that is honest but respectful

What we're looking for

  • Organized, calm under volume, and dependable with deadlines
  • Warm, professional email writing
  • Comfortable with simple tracking tools and spreadsheets

Author Support & Community Moderator

Welcome authors into our community, answer their questions, and keep the feed active and useful.

  • Community

What you'll do

  • Answer member questions by email and inside the community, always within one business day.
  • Moderate community posts to keep the space respectful, useful, and free of spam.

What we're looking for

  • Friendly, patient communicator who enjoys helping writers
  • Good judgment in moderating public conversations
  • Interest in books and publishing
